This past Monday night we were the featured “Powerhouse Breakout Artist” (yes, a big title to stand up to) at the House Of Blues in Boston. We were presented by the “New Guitar Summit” (3 of Boston’s Titan guitar players, J. Geils, Duke Robillard, and Gerry Beaudoin) who reunited for the first time in years for the benefit for local charity that the HOB commits itself to every year. And, I had a chance to play with these monsters.
I’m going to attempt to thank everyone, even though in the laws of probability, there’s more than likely someone missing. First, our organizers and architects: Susan Maguire, Bob Dougherty, Gerry Beaudoin, J. Geils, and Duke Robillard.
You went out of your way for me, something that’s rare in the world right now, never mind the music biz.
New Guitar Summit Bass N’ Drumz combo: Les Harris Jr. and Jesse Williams -let’s not talk about the TV programming in the green room.
Nate Dow for photographs (including the one of me and J. above).
Nikki DiGuilio (and her pops!). -when are we doing that barbecue?
The EGB team: Christina, Shelly, Andy, Vanessa, Bob, Danny and his wife. And a few others who seemed to join us as the night went on.
Johnny A. -I was hoping you’d pull a guitar like a katana and join the six-stringer party.
There’s many more people to thanks, lot’s of familiar faces and new ones.
From me and boys (John and Phil) I want to thank you all again for a memorable night in our careers. It means the world to us.
