From Sally (owner of www.officialfanclub.net):
Evan,
I posted a thread in Eric Clapton’s fan club site www.ecaccess.cc about
the show with B.B., mentioned your smokin’ guitar and put your band site
link in the thread. Many guitar and blues lovers in Eric’s club who will
check out your site and your music. Have a great weekend!

I’d be lying if I told you Eric Clapton was nothing less than a complete inspiration to me.
This guitar solo might just demonstrate that.

A Great Moment.

Here’s the story, (spoken style):

(1:45am? 2/5/09)
Just got done playing in a music club in the village (NYC), It’s almost 2 in the morning, it’s 5 degrees outside, and it’s a Wednesday night (at this point Thursday morning). Had a great show with lots of familiar faces (even some of the St.Barths crew), and the club is happy, and at this point filtering out (I mean, it’s 2am right?).

Sitting at the bar, chatting with the bartender and “handling the finances” as we say, I feel a tap on my shoulder.

I turn around to see a sincere look.
She tells me that she’s never seen the band, has no idea what it’s called, but that she really likes it, and wants to know more.

Now, the 8 hours of roundtrip driving from Boston to NYC feels even more meaningful. Our friends, fans, people, (whatever you label it) come and be a part of things: that’s perfect in itself.
But when someone “happens to be there” and spontaneously connects with what we’re doing. That’s a great moment for me, and it makes me keep my head up.

So, Brie, thank you! Hope you enjoyed the disc, and hope to see you again in NYC!

Fun Times in the Fan Scrapbook.

Posted on: February 2, 2009 — Posted in: Evan rambles

It’s Monday, a new week.
I want to start the week with a “thanks” to all the people at the sold out Grog show last Saturday night.  It was quite the night with everyone packed into that little downstairs.  Felt like home.

We’ve been working on the record, catching up with “the sites” myspace, facebook, and this baby.
The “FAN SCRAPBOOKS” have been coming along, I’ve been trying to sort through the 15,000+ photos from the last 3 years alone, and adding them up there as fast as I can.

NOTE: If you have a good/great/shocking photo of yourself at an EGB show (with or without a member of the band) SEND IT IN!  (We’ll place it on here).

(VISIT THE FAN SCRAPBOOK HERE)

See you in NYC this Wed!
