A long time ago (but not in a galaxy far, far away), I used to spend all my time making music mixes on cassettes and trading with friends in an effort to gain exposure to everything. I used a “Walkman” (yeah, yikes) to listen to random unmarked blank TDK cassettes that people would make for me while I pumped gas (my former profession).
Later when record stores (I know everything is gone right?: walkmans, TDK cassettes, and even record stores) began sampling stations so that you could listen to something before you bought it, I was saved from inevitable amateur credit card debt. I could listen first and then decide, and that made a lot of difference when you’re a music collecting junkie (I could decide what I liked before I spent the buck).
I liked the idea, so I thought you would as well. That’s why I designed the MUSIC page (Well…I birthed the concept and layout but it was actually put together by my trusty web man Erik Bettencourt).
DIDDYA KNOW?
1) You can listen to every song off all the EGB recordings? (Longer samples than Itunes)
2) You can read all the lyrics? (Who knows what I’m saying half the time?)
3) There’s additional blogs to each song? (In case you want to know what was exactly going through my head when I wrote that)
All the recordings are different. And, everyone’s tastes are different, and so it seems rational that everyone is going to favor a different recording. What’s yours?
And remember, I’ll never make the same record twice!
